Welcome to my website!
I’m Kris J. Nitz. Celebrate the 2000th anniversary of Christ’s earthly ministry with me! In my blog, I’ll trace these events from his baptism by John in January of 27 CE until the events of Holy Week in April, 30 CE. Instead of posting weekly, I’ll be sharing the miracles, sermons, parables, disputes and dialogues during the months when they occurred.
Until the end of November, I’ll be posting about some aspect of the Incarnation once a week. In December, I’ll share about some of the events surrounding Jesus’ birth as well as the revolutionary activities of John the Baptist, which took place in late 26 CE.
I’m a writer, not a theologian. Most of my published work is in the children’s realm. My articles, short stories, and poetry have appeared in Highlights, Cricket, and High Fives, Boys’ Quest, and Hopscotch. Two of my novels were set in Italy with a YA cozy mystery set in Missouri. My recently completed project features an unusual but scriptural view of the Incarnation.
In the process of writing this novel, I gained a much better understanding of how the events of the Gospels fit together. I’m looking forward to reviewing Jesus’ miracles, prayers, sermons, parables, theological arguments over the next 3+ years.
Since graduating from Michigan Tech with a degree in electrical engineering, I’ve lived in the Northeast, Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and the Italian Tyrol. My husband and I currently live near Grand Rapids, Michigan.
